Andy Riddle - Managing Director |

Andy combines the role of Managing Director at Compass with the same position at sister company, Footprint Travel Guides. Having joined Footprint in 2005, his involvement with
Compass started in 2008 after both businesses had been acquired by Morris Communications. He has worked in the publishing industry for longer than he likes to admit,
with experience in sales, marketing and publishing at McGraw-Hill, Letts Educational and Lonely Planet. He lives in Bath with his wife and two kids, loves to travel and play or watch sport. |

Linda Flynn - General Manager |

Linda joined Compass in 1999 as Operations Director and was responsible for managing HR, inventory control, shipping, production, editorial, mapping and general administration.
When the business was purchased by Morris Communications in 2008 Linda took over as General Manager retaining her previous duties and responsibilities. Previous to Compass, Linda spent 22 years
at Racal Electronics, working her way up to Shipping Manager with ten staff reports. From there she went to Malmesbury Packaging for four years, starting as Office Manager and progressing to
General Manager. Her role involved purchasing material and manufacturing packaging to ensuring customers received orders on time, while maintaining maximum profit and quality levels. Linda is a member of the Institute of Export. |

Patrick Dawson - Commercial Director |

Patrick's involvement with Compass
started in 2008 when the company was
acquired by Morris Communications. As part of the
senior management team, he works closely
with Linda as well as liaising with
the parent company in the US. Bath born
and bred, Patrick has a degree in Business Studies
and worked as an Trainee Accountant at
the Oxford University Press before spending
two years in Papua New Guinea in the
Department of Business Development advising local
businesses. On returning to the UK, he
was the Financial Director for a Bath printing
company. He has worked in publishing
since 1985 primarily with Footprint Travel Guides,
Compass' sister company. During this
period, he has managed the company finances whilst
covering various roles from production
and editorial to sales and marketing. |

Marie Cepek - Custom Account Manager |

Marie joined Compass in April 2008 and handles the custom key accounts. She is the first person clients usually speak to when enquiring about custom PopOut products. Previously Marie worked at Toshiba Research Laboratory where one of her main duties was patent administration. She then moved on to Cameron Balloon company where she worked in sales and account management, helping clients realise their bespoke balloon designs. Marie loves a creative environment and the challenge of solving problems and making things work for the client whatever the brief. In her current role, every custom job and client is different and with it comes the opportunity to create something special that exceeds the clients' expectation. |

Sue Darmon - US Business Development Manager

As US Business Development Manager, Sue is responsible for developing the B2B custom business in America and works from our US location in Guilford, CT. Prior to joining PopOut Products, the US division of Compass, in September 2010, she was responsible for selling customisable three dimensional marketing and communications materials to senior level decision makers in Fortune 1000 companies. Sue has extensive marketing and sales experience working with clients across a broad spectrum of industries including Consumer Goods, Entertainment, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Manufacturing, Telecommunications and Travel/Tourism. She lives in Old Lyme, CT with her husband, Alain and their dog, Rex. |

Shelly Bufton - Sales & Marketing Manager |

Shelly joined PopOut Products, the American division of Compass, as Sales & Marketing Manager in March 2007, bringing with her several years' experience in the promotional products industry. Previously she worked for International Buying Corporation as Project Manager of custom manufactured products, which included a wide variety of items from POS displays, resin and die-cast models, to children's toys. Previously she worked in inventory control and supply chain management. She actually enjoys working with critical timelines and drop dead in-hand dates and always strives to meet client expectations, delivering results on time and within budget. Shelly is based just north of Atlanta, GA. |

Jeremy Parr - Business Development Executive |

Jeremy first arrived at Compass in July 2002, having previously worked at Hallmark Cards UK for three years as an Accounts Administrator. Prior to this he worked as a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language in Seoul, South Korea. In addition to his role as Business Development Executive, he also still works as the point of contact for co-edition partners. He lives with his wife, two children and cat in the cathedral city of Wells, in Somerset. |

Diane McEntee - Trade Product Manager |

Diane joined the sister companies Compass and Footprint in June 2010 and works with the international retail trade to ensure both Compass and Footprint products are well-represented worldwide through bookshops and other retail environments. She has worked in book trade sales and publishing for a number of years with experience at Waterstones Booksellers, WHSmiths head office as well as the academic publisher Butterworth Heinemann and more recently at the specialist travel sales and marketing agency, GeoCenter. When she's not pursuing booksellers around the globe, she is training hard to reach her goal of a sub two hour half-marathon as well as continuing her quest for the perfect bottle of champagne. |

Helen Baker - Publishing Manager |

Helen joined Compass in August 2006 after working for a number of years in editorial at academic publishers, Taylor and Francis. She has an MSc in Publishing from Napier University and a BA honours degree in American Studies. Like everyone at Compass, Helen loves to travel and has spent a good deal of time working and travelling abroad (with the help, of course, of a PopOut map!). Without doubt, her biggest achievement to date has been founding the Compass badminton club and convincing her colleagues it's a good idea to join. With London 2012 fast approaching, hopes remain high for qualification...

Tiina Wastie - Production Manager |

Tiina joined Compass in October 2008, when she left the big smoke of London for the peace and tranquility of Winford. Tiina has worked in the publishing industry, primarily in production,
for over ten years, working for Mitchell-Beazley, Penguin Books and Hodder Headline. Tiina has a BA honours degree in South-East Asian studies and speaks Indonesian, which occasionally
comes in handy on some of her travels abroad. Tiina is half-Finnish and was delighted to find that there is an active 'Finland in Bristol' society where she can take Finnish lessons and
buy Finnish chocolate. Tiina has been successfully recruited into the Compass badminton club and is also now branching out into the world of squash. |

Easter Lam - Project Coordinator |

Easter is a graduate of Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Oxford Brookes University in the UK. She is fluent in Chinese,
English and Mandarin. After four years working for San Ban International Ltd in Hong Kong as a Sales Executive, she joined Compass in spring 2006. As the Project Coordinator, Easter holds a pivotal role in ensuring good quality and timely communication between ourselves and our Chinese suppliers.
Easter is a music lover and choir member as well as a handbell ringer at Kowloon City Baptist Church. She is also the assistant conductor of the church's baby choir. |

Kev Jelf - Senior Artworker |

Kev has over 30 years experience as an
artworker, spanning the old days of 'cut
and paste' by hand to the modern days of
'cut and paste' by computer. Beginning
as a Junior in the studio and darkroom
of Advertrend in 1974, he worked his way
up to becoming a competent Finished
Artist with Associated Graphics in Chew
Magna in 1978. He added PMT Camera work
to his portfolio when working for
Picador Graphics (1987-88) and
proficiency with Mac software with
Barneys Advertising (1989-2004). He
joined Compass in 2004 as Senior
Artworker. Kev is our resident
photographer and nature specialist. |

Gail Townsley - Cartographer & Artworker |

Gail joined the company as a part-time Cartographer and Artworker in 2010, after completing many a freelance project for us.
When she's not in our offices she is busy running her own cartographic company. Gail has a degree in geography and economics
and a post-grad in cartography. She developed her mapping skills working for world and school reference atlas publishers and this,
together with her extensive global wanderings, means she is our trump card in the geography round of the pub quiz!
